Son to the late Joseph Kamau Musa and Esther Wanjeri Kamau. Son-in-law to the late Joseph Thiongo and late Jane Thiongo. Grandson to thé late Kibunja Kinuthia and late Leah Nyagitha Kibunja of Githunguri Kiambu County. Husband to Caroline Wanjiru Kibunja. Father to Stella Kibunja and Esther Kibunja. Grandfather to Adrian Kyle Kibunja among others. Brother to Cecilia Wanjiku Levi, Christine Nyagitha Miller, the late Peter Ndirangu, Catherine Nieri (Gacerina), Caroline Kahaki, Henry Mburu (Abdul), Nancy Muthoni, Christine Wanjiru (Kammerlander), Late Pauline Wambui, Moses  Ndirangu, Jane De leeuw.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home, Kahawa West on Friday the 6/11/2020 at 8am followed by burial at his residence in Giathai-ini, Magomano Junction, Githunguri, Kiambu County.

Daily prayers at 4 pm at his residence.
