It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Sophie Wanjiku Gathoni — Advocate (Sophie Kaiku) Senior Manager Legal Affairs at ISON BPO on Saturday 7th November 2020.

Loving wife of James Mbogo Gugu. Mother to Grace Wawira, Elsie Gathoni and Baby Joseph Gugu (GG). Beloved daughter to Esther Gathoni (Mwara Investments, Mombasa). Daughter in law to Mr & Mrs. Joseph Gugu. Sister to James Kirugi (Jakimu Auctioneers) and Evelyn Mwara Kanyi. Sister in Law to Stephen Gugu (Invhestia Africa), Wairu Kinyori Gugu, Ann Mugo Kibachio, Jacinta Wanjiku Kibachio and Ian Kanyi Wangome. Cousin to J.H Mwara Advocate, Kahithe, Felistas, Grace Wanjiku, Beatrice Mwara, Hosea, Waturi, Fred, Njunge, Mwara, Wanjiku (Msa), Kariuki, Wamaitha, Wanyiku. Gitau Ndeiya and many others. Aunty to Ayana, Amara, Amathu, Nathan, Sifa, Esther, Njambi, Edna, Daisy, Steve, Tash, Mbugua, Ngotho, Kiama, Travis, Wayne, Shirieen and many others. Niece to Priscilla Mwara (Githiga), Monica Wairimu, Mary Waniiru Hosea.

Family and friends are gathering at her residence in Membley SweetWaters Court from 5pm daily.

There will be a fundraiser on Friday 13th November at the meeting venue (Membley).

A memorial service will be held on Monday 16th November at PCEA Gateway Church from 2pm. Sophie will be laid to rest on Tuesday 17th November 2020 at 11am at her family home in Gachege, Gatundu North Constituency, Kiambu County.
