YOPES MOCHAMA ONDORA

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing on of Yopes Mochama Ondora, that occurred on 31st October, 2020 while undergoing treatment at M.P Shah Hospital Nairobi. At the time of his death, Mr. Yopes Mochama was the Head Legal Assistant — Conveyancing Department at Mwaniki Gachoka & Co. Advocates.

Son of the late Meshack Ondora Obwoge and Milka Mogotu Ondora. He was husband of Callen Mokeira and father of Joshua Ondora, David Ochwang’i, Enock Nyakundi and Philemon Gori. Brother of Samwel Ondieki, Abel Nehemiah and Daniel Khaguri. Nephew of Pastor Charles Okwoyo, the late Samson Maisiba, Ibrahim Omosa, the late Abel Morang’a, the late Joseph Nyang’au and Charles Nyabayo (Chief Inspector Police),Tabitha Gesare, Peninah Monyenye, Esther Kwamboka, Esther Nyaboke, the late Rhoda Kwamboka, Rael Osugo and the Late Mellen Obande. Grandson of the late Francis Obwoge and the late Teresia Banchiri, the late Gideon King’oina and Pacifica Obonyo.

Son-in-law of the late Rev. Meshack Ochwang’i Ogetonto and Esther Nyarangi Ochwang’i, the late Ong’era Ogetonto, Janes Ngoge, the late Zedekiah Omwancha, Nelson Okindo, Mweresa Bikundo and Auta Ondimu. Brother-in-law of Samuel Ochwang’i, Micah Omwancha, Eunice Ochwang’i, Richard Evans, the late Richard Onchari, Elijah Aura among others. Semo of Elijah Matara, Stephen Onchoke, Elias Machiboni, among others.

Cousin of the late Samson Maisiba, Job Morang’a, Meshack Osugo, Davies Obande, Richard Areba among others. Nephew of Elias King’oina, the late Jomo Nyakundi, among others. Uncle of Ruth Mogotu, Truphena Mogotu, Amos Ondora, among others. A friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence In Uthiru Estate for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday, 12th November, 2020 at 9.00am. Burial takes place on Friday 13th November, 2020 starting 9.00am at Suguta Market, thereafter he will be laid to rest at his home In Bosingi Village.
