PROTUS NYANSERA OROO (HSC)

Educationist Protus Nyansera Oroo (HSC), the indefatigable man who for many years fought for the welfare of teachers, steered the leadership of many schools, and preached peace among communities has taken a final blow. He rested after a short illness on I4/11/2020 at KNH, Nairobi.

For more than 10 years, Mwalimu Nyansera steadfastly stood at the apex of the larger Gusii branch of giant KNUT as Executive Secretary, rising to represent the region In the union’s NEC. He also served as Vice chairman, ACDC.

A Dear husband of the late Priscah Nyamusi & Salome Mariana. Beloved son of the late Gilbert Oroo & the late mama Coromba Bonareri of Bomwanda Sub-location, Bonchari constitueny, Kisii County. Son-in-law of the late Omonywa Marita & the late Bisari Omonywa of Bomwacha, Bomorenda ward & the late Mzee Edmond Onyonka & the late mama Anne Nyaboke Onyonka of Bogeka, Mosocho, Kisii County. Adored Father of Pamela, the late Beatrice, Gladys, Jacklyn, the late Edwin, Polycarp, Irene, Raymond, the late Carolyn, Judith, Geoffrey, Nancy, Herbert and Lilian. Cherished brother of Cresencia, George Oroo – former Chairman KNUT- Kisii South, the Late Gesare, Patricia, Charles, Alex Teresa, Moraa, Jane, Margaret, Agnes, Nyamusi, Denis, former cllr./ Business Chairman Borabu Lydia, Evelyne and John.

The Body is lying at KTRH Funeral Parlour. Meetings are held daily at his home Bomwanda (GEMAS) Bonchari Kisii and Isoge settlement scheme Ensakia. Major fundraising will be held on Tuesday, 24/11/2020, at Suneka – Monchari Bookshop, Gesonso- Monchari, at his home at Borabu Isoge & in Kisii ACDC Office – opposite Kisii High School.

Burial will take place at their Bomwanda Home on 27th November 2020  after a service at Suneka Catholic Church.
