It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs Joyce Wambura Macharia (Mihango-Utawala), that occurred on Friday 27th November, 2020.

Loving wife of Mr Peter Muriithi Macharia (UAP-Old Mutual). Devoted mother of Stacy Ruguru Macharia (Amboseli College, Thika) and Elizabeth Nyawira Macharia (Kabare High School, Kirinyaga). Daughter of the late David Kimenju Mit-ini and Mrs. Philomena Wanjera Kimenju (Kagio). Sister of Gladys Wangithi Kimenju (Thika), Michael Mit-ini Kimenju (Bollore), Emily Wakini Kimenju, Leonard Maina Kimenju, Lucia Muthoni Kimenju (King Fahand Refferal Hospital, Lamu) and Julian Micere Kimenju. Daughter-in-law of the late John R.N. Macharia and Mrs. Rosedaisy Ruguru Macharia. Sister-in-law of Mrs. Jane Wangui Tayi (Zimbabwe), Ruth Nduma Macharia, Mrs. Particia Wangari Mwanzia (Sanlam), Dr. Margaret Ngima Macharia-Kedogo (UoN), Violet Gloria Mbiro Macharia, Dr. Joash Tayi (Zimbabwe), Dr. Joseph Kedogo Masila (TUK, Nairobi), the late Phillip Muhia Ngugi and Kelly Mbugua (Shades of Africa). Auntie, cousin and friend to many.

Friends and Relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at their home in Karagita Estate, next to Urithi Academy in Mihango from 7:OOpm.

There will be a requiem Mass at St Mary’s Immaculate Catholic Church on Wednesday 02/12/2020 at 10:00am in Mihango.

The cortege leaves K. U. Funeral home on Friday 04/12/2020 at 8:30am for the internment Mass at 12:00 Noon in Nyeri County, Kiamwathi, Chorogi village (Old Othaya – Kiandu Road).

 Joyce, you have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith, Amen!
