ELIJAH MIKOBIA MAERI

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr Elijah Mikobia Maeri.

Son of the late Samuel Maeri Rawinji and the late Isdora Akaka Maeri of Gwassi. Beloved husband of Iscah Adhiambo Maeri. Cherished father of the late Charles, Rosemary, the late Ken, Irene, Elizabeth, June, Carolyne, Christine and Jacqueline. Brother of Dorsila Siro, Rael Akuku, Isaac Ogonya, the late Rusalia Obwoyo, the late Nyarumba, Hon. Hillary, among others. He was son in-in-law of the late Pst. Erastus Ogila and the late Zipporah Adoyo Ogila. Father-in-law of Bethuel Oduo, Lazarus Abila, Fred Atieno, Dr. Zaccheus Omondi, Godfrey Adawo, Walter Orato and Evelyn Maeri. Brother-in-law of Jane Odhiambo, Tobias, Jane Awino, Edwina, among others. Uncle of Hon. Ochieng Mbeo, Pamela, Wycliffe, Ruth, Siro, Caren, among others. He was the doting grandfather of Edward, Charles, Sharon, Ryan, Wayne, Curtis, Jorim, Iscah, Lynn, Masha, By John, Meg Iscah, Talya, Eugene, Shanice, Jeznee, Junior, Jeanne, Jamie, Jayden and Jibril. Great grandfather to Zuri.

Funeral meetings are taking place at his residence in Migori, where a harambee will be held today, December 3rd, 2020.

The cortege will leave Rosewood Funeral Home in Rongo on Sunday, December 6th 2020, for a night vigil at his home. He will be buried on Monday, December 7th, 2020, at Namba Village, Migori Town, near the Migori-Isebanla Road.
