LOYFORD MUNENE RIUNGU (PAPA)

 1956 – 2020

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Loyford Munene Riungu (Papa), which occurred on Monday, 30th November 2020 at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) following a short illness. Until his death, he was an employee of Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) in Uasin Gishu as a County Statistics Officer.

Son of the late Elijah Riungu Kaburi and Tabitha Kaburi. Step-son of Juliet Ciandigia. A dear husband of Margaret Glchugu Munene. A loving dad of Murithi Munene Riungu and Njiru Munene Riungu. Brother of Njeri, Gataka, the late Gatune, the late Njue, Rhoda, the late Kinyua and Mucembei. Step-brother of the late Jane, Mutegi, the late Njoka, the late Magi, Catherine, Mary, Kangai. Father-in-law of Lynette Atieno and a loving Grandfather of Shani Karimi.

The funeral service and burial will be held on Wednesday 9th December 2020 at his farm in Muvukoro Village in Tharaka Nithi County.
