It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of retired Chief Economist, Ministry of Labour Charles Sosthenes Chemeywa Wangia on 8th December, 2020 at St Luke Hospital, Eldoret

Son of the late Mr. & Mrs Thomas Wangia. Loving husband of Esther and Miriam. Father of Lydia, Edgar, Dr. Michael (US), Bildad, Silas (US), Keren (US), Dan, Thomas, Esther, Jacob, Amos, Humphrey, Elizabeth and Franklin. Grandfather of Michael, Nimrod, Charles, Esther, Immaculate, Linah, Gracia, Wesley, Veyzel, Ebony, Erika, Isaac, McGhee, Stephanie, Sasha, Zach, Malia, Shayna, Asher, Angellisa, Myke, Mitchelle and Nelan. Father in law of Situma, Maureen, Miriam and Dr. Morgan (US).

Brother of Ruth, the late Joshua, the late Habil, the late Zephaniah, Obadiah, Dr. Caleb, Boaz, Gideon, Gamaliel, Adah, Jared, the late Melab, Dr. Phillip (Botswana), Roselyn, Malava and Kulati. Brother-in-law of Phanice Muloli, Kepher Isayi, Hudson lsayi, Isiaho, late Selina, Repha, Akinyi, Beatrice, Jackline, Kezia, the late Romona, Dr. Sabina, Gerry, the late Benigna, Dr. Joyce, Bishop Adoyo, Prof. Situma, Dr. Christine, Rosa, Prof Moni, Alice, Emmy, among others. Cousin of the Waudos. Uncle and friend of many.

The burial will take place on 17/12/2020 at his home in Chebuyusi village, Navakholo, Kakamega County.
