MZEE RICHARD ORIAH AKWIR

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mzee Richard Oriah Akwir of Udira Kamrembo Village, Ugenya on the 8th December 2020.

Husband to Mary Adipo Oriah. Son to the late Akwir Were and the late Paulina Aketch. Son in law to Dick and Josephina Agoya of Masiro Nyalenda. Father to the late Beatrice Omondi, the late Tom Oriah, Shadrack Oriah (TonyWest Ltd and CognoVentures Ltd), the late Opata Oriah, Millicent Oriah, Sylvester Oriah, Evelyn Oriah and Pamela (Jossy) Oriah. Father in law to Hillary Omondi, Esther Oduor, Dorice Omolo Oriah (United Nations) and Samuel Murimi (Film Aid). Grandfather to Edgar, Brogyn, Yvonne, Liz, Kelvin, Rael Rachael, Darrel, Sharnette, Brian, Stephen, Arianna and Darrian. Great grandfather to Keila, Shanaya, Hyden and Gloria. Brother to the late Owino, the late Mbare, the late Were, the late Otieno, the late Osino, Michael Akwir and Angela Anyango.

There will be a memorial service on Friday 18th December 2020 at St. Monica Udira Catholic Church at 2.00 pm.

Burial will take place at his home in Kamrembo Udira village on Saturday 19th December 2020 from 09.00 am.
