JOSEPHINE MURUGI RUTHIRU

1928 – 2021

We the Family of the late Josephine Murugi Ruthiru thank the All Mighty God for the life granted to our beloved Mother who went to be with her Lord and Saviour on 9th February, 2021, at the age of 93 years, while undergoing treatment at The Nazareth Hospital.

She is the daughter of the late Asaph Mugo Maratha and Isabel Mumbi Mugo formerly of Kangemi and Kahuguini. Sister of Ambassodor Nicholas Mugo & Hon. Senator Beth Mugo, the late Danson Ngugi Mugo & the late Jane Njeri Mugo, the late Rahab Muthoni Kamau & the late James Kamau Kinuthia, the late Dr. John Njuguria Mugo, the late Virginia Wandithia Mugo and the late Samuel Kamau Mugo & Lilian Wanilku Kamau, Mother of Damaris Waniiru Ruthlru, George Chege Nicholas & Teresia Waltliira, Elizabeth Mumbi Ngugi & Evans Ngugl,Virginiall Muthoni Gikaru & the late Gikaru Ngothi, Mugo Ruthiru 8 Millicent Mugo. She is a grandmother to many among them Murugi Mathinjo, Nicholas Chege,MaIna Ngugi, Murugi Gikaru & Dr. Murugl Mugo, She is also a great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many.

Daily prayers are being held at her home in Kangemi, Nairobi from 2.00pm. Meetings shall be held at All Saints Cathedral, on Friday 12th and Monday 15th from 5.00pm. Sunday afternoon fellowship will be held at ACK All Saints & Gideon of Kangemi (Gichagi). Memorial Service will be on Tuesday 16th February, 2021 at 12.00am, in All Saints Cathedral Church, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home, on Wednesday 17th February, 2021, at 9.00am for funeral Service at ACK Kahugulni, Gatundu South, followed by internment next to the church.

2nd Timothy 4:7-8 “Mum you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. Now there is in store for you the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to you on that day – and not only to you, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
