It is with profound sorrow and distress that we announce the death of Joseph Chege Gathenge of Maji Mazuri Mwiki Kasarani.

Son of the late George Gathenge Chege and the late Mary Wanjiku Gathenge of Kagera Village Gatundu Sub-county Kiambu-County. Beloved Husband to Pauline Nduta Chege of JKUAT. Adoring father to Wendy Wanjiku of National Aids Control Council- Nairobi, Ivy Njoki (DIRO Advocates) and Mitchelle Wamaitha of Precious-Blood Kagwe Girls’. A Cherishing Grandfather to Liam Chege (Kellyn Junior Academy).

A lovely brother to Fidelis Nyawira, Paul and Racheal Kabi, Nicollas and the late Elizabeth Kinyanjui, Late Lucy Nduta Gathenge, Joyce and Andrew Arisa, Michael and Agnes Kiboo,Ann and Ibrahim Mwajuma, Richard and Mary Kariuki.An Uncle and Cousin to many. Son-in-law to the late Francis Ndung’u and Bernadette Njoki Ndung’u, of Limuru Ngarariga. Brother-in-law to Rose Ndung’u, Thuo and Muthoni, Kuria and Hannah, Harriet, Kandie and Wambui, Tom and Wairimu, Mburu and Njoki of Limuru.

Family and Friends meet at their urban residence in Maji Mazuri Mwiki daily starting from 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege will leave K.U. Thika – Road Mortuary on Thursday 8th April, 2021 at 8.00am followed by his burial ceremony at his rural home in Kagera Village, Gatundu Sub-county Kiambu County.
