We are deeply saddened to announce the passing on of Elida Minai Oluoch, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother of Nyabanda Village, Nyawita Sub-Location, Bondo Township Location, Bondo Sub-county, Siaya County.

Daughter of the late Jacob Dongo Radol and the late Rosa Mikuru Dongo of Seme Kanyadwera, Kisumu County. Sister to Consolata Oboge, the late Margaret Oluoch, the late George Dongo, Margaret Juma, Aphline Otieno, Helen Dawa and Mathews Wangore. Wife of the late Vitalis Oluoch Otieno. Sister-in-law to the late Joanes Madiany, the late Jacob Midialo, the late Alex Okach, Domnic Ngesa, the late Joseph Abonyo,Augustine Adera and Nahason Omung’i. Co-wife of the late Pescila Oluoch, the late Philgona Oluoch and the late Margaret Oluoch. Also Jane Midialo, Beldina Okach, Anastacia Ngesa and Alice Adera. Beloved sister-in-law to Aunty Elizabeth.

Loving Mum to Wauna Oluoch (Jkuat Law School & Ochieng Ochieng Advocates) Birgit Otieno, Conslate Odhiambo (Migori County Govt.), Josephine Menya, Mary Oyoo, Benter Omondi, Magdaline Okumu, Elizabeth Opiyo, Susan and Vero. Mother also to the late Charles Ochieng, Rose Nyangoye, Elijah Oluoch, Cyprian Oluoch (Jumia), Angelina Ayieko, William Apiyo Ezekiel, Jael Atieno (Lwak Girls), Sister Joyce Oluoch (Sisters of Mercy), Jane Adera, Patricia, Agnes, Damaris, Hellen, Trizah. Mother-In-law of many including Lilian Mbori Wauna (KNH), Donne, Maurine, Sellah, Isdora and Jane Ogutu. Her sons-in-law are Richard Otieno, Joshua Oyalloh, the late John Menya, Tobias Oyoo, Michael Omondi, Benson Okumu and Joseph Opiyo (Sony Sugar).

She was the grandmother of Fredrick Otieno (Petrocity Group, Msa), George Menya (Mitchell Cotts, Msa) Geoffrey Odhiambo (PWC, Rwanda), Josephine, Dorris, Kevin Opolo (Auditor General), Lolah and many others She is survived also by great grandchildren.

Funeral service and burial will be at her home in Nyabanda Village, Bondo Town, Siaya – Bondo Road, on 10th April, 2021.
