It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, we regret to announce the demise of Mzee Mwalimu Joseph Kilaku Ntarangui of Kathiu village, Antuanthama, Kanuni Ward, Igembe South Meru County, formerly Secretary Manager of then Igembe Coffee Farmers’ Co-operative Society Limited (ICFCS) and founding Director of the then Meru North Coffee SACCO Ltd (Now Dhabiti SACCO Ltd).

The first-born son of Mr. Kilaku Mutaa and joaninah Ciobaimpwi, step-son to Ciomakulala, Brother to Mr. jeremano Mwenda Kusia, step-brother to Makumi, M’Ikiara, Baibiiri, M’Nabea and Kathao, Loving husband to Mary Mukombiti. Father to Thomas Ng’olua, Nancy-Rita Marano, Charles Kaberia, Agnes Olinta, Moses Michubu (Late), Silas Kobia (Late), Paul Kirimi (Late), Jane Rose (Late), Esther Karui, Benson Kimathi (Late), Franklyn Mugambi (Kibaki),Fridah Gakii and Dan Murithi (Eng.). Father-in-law to Grace Kanana, Robert Matano, Alice Gacheri, John Miriti, Jane Baariu, Irene lmaana, Cliff Menge, Jeska Kaguri and Geoffrey Kithinji.

Grandfather to Brian Muthomi, Owen Mwenda, Laura Kinya, Sheila Kiki, Allan Mutethiah, Bruce Murimi, Liz Karen Nkirote, Ken Kinoti, Gevan Mutuma, Paul Karani, Benedict Thuranira, Kelvin Munene, Alvin Mugambi, Ramsey Kobia, Love Joy Kobia, Zilda Kendi, Trevor Nyambane, Jobfavour Nyambane, Tashajoy Nyambane, Hope Michelle Kathomi,Victor Mutethia, Muriki Mugambi, Ian Kithinji, Makena Kithinji and Shermaine Pendo Murithi. Great grandfather to several.

Burial arrangements are on-going daily at his home in Kathiu Village, mung’enti and at his Children’s homes in Maua and Nairobi.

Burial will be on the 9th April 2021 at is Kathiu village home. The cortege will leave Kiirua Mission Hospital at 8am for the final Mass at the Amung’enti Catholic Church.
