In deep sorrow, but with acceptance of God’s sovereign will, we announce the peaceful transition of our mother, grandmother, sister and friend Jane Wanjiru Rika (Nee Kagai), on 15th May, 2021.

Wife of the late Captain Josephat Rika. Mother of Catherine Ngima, the late Elijah Gathii & Damaris, John & Jane Kagai, James & Mwikali Rika, Rose & Nyaga, Peter Kigo, Victoria & Charles Macharia. Adored Grandmother of several grandchildren.

Sister of the late Victoria Gichuki, H.E the late Lucy Kibaki, the late James Kigo, the late Samuel Wambugu, the late Bildad Kanuri, Mary Mungai, the late Joseph Muigua, Margaret Wairimu and Mrs Catherine Njoroge.

In-law of the late Gerry Gichuki, H.E CGH Rtd. President Mwai Kibaki, Rtd. Amb. Mungai, Eng. George Njoroge, among others.

The cortege departs Outspan Hospital – Nyeri Funeral Home, at 9.00am on Tuesday 25th May, 2021, for interment at her home in Naromoru.
