MR. DICKSON KIBAGIO WACIRA KIBUNJA

With profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will, we regrettably announce the passing on of Mr. Dickson Kibagio Wacira Kibunja on Saturday, 22nd May, 2021 after a short illness. D.K was a retired college lecturer and author.

He was the grandson of the late Snr. Chief Wambugu Mathangani, Son to the late Kibunja Wambugu a the late Gathoni Kibunja and a son-in-taw to the late Hannah Mwihaki. A dear husband to Elizabeth Njeri and an adoring father to Mathangani G.W, Wanjiru A.M, Emma Gathoni, Alex a Muthoni Maina and Kent Kariuki. He was a grandfather to Janette, Jayden, Jermaine, Wendo, Kenia and Thayu.

Selfless brother to Salome Wangeci, Winfred Nyawira, Agnes Nyacomba, Rose Nyambura and Peter a Lucy Kariuki. A step-brother to Bernard 8 Purity Wachira, the late Lawrence Mwangi a. the late Moses Wachira. He was a brother in law, cousin, uncle and grandfather to many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home, The D.K’s residence in Gatitu Sub-location, Nyeri County. The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (behind Outspan Hospital) on Friday, 28th May, 2021 for a funeral service to be held at P.C.E.A. Gatitu Church and thereafter he will be laid to rest in comfort at his Gatitu home.

The Meeting, burial and funeral service wilt be held in strict adherence to the COVID19 protocols and guidelines during this period.
