COUNCILLOR PHILLIP NJOROGE GATONG’O

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of Councillor Phillip Njoroge Gatong’o of Nguna village, Chania Ward, Gatundu North, Thika District. He rested in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on 24 May 2021 following a tragic road accident near Maryhill Girls High school along Thika-Mang’u-flyover road.

Husband to the late Liberata Njeri Njoroge. Loving Father to Peter Gatong’o and his wife Mercy Waruguru, Silvester Kamau and his wife Martha Wanjiku, Simon Chege and his wife Winfried Wanjiku, Andrew Ng’ang’a and his wife Margaret Wayu (all of Worcester MA, USA), Esther Wanjiru and her husband Paul Kibiro, Martha Wangari (all of Delaware, USA), Rose Njoroge of Nairobi. Brother to Marther Njeri Gatong’o (Worcester, USA). Grandfather, uncle and great grandfather to many.

He was a devout Christian and member of KAMA at Nguna Anglican Church.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday 8th June 2021. Funeral service is at Gakui Anglican Church, Chania Location at 11am. Burial at his farm at Gaithigi village, Chania at 2.00 pm.
