LUCY WAIRIMU MATHENGE

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing on of our beloved Lucy Wairimu Mathenge on 27th May 2021 after a short illness bravely borne.

Wife of Gerald Mathenge and mother of the late Gloria Mathenge, Julie Mathenge and Abel Munene. Doting grandmother to Allen and Kyle Mathenge.

Daughter of the late Senior Chief Ephantus Murage and Violet Murage. Sister to the late Kibuchi, Emily Kathugu, the late Njagi, Hellen and Muchemi Karuru, the late Patrick, the late Cyrus and Miguongo Murage among others.

Auntie to Wellington, Violet and Patrick, Karuru and Lillian, Janice and John, Judy, Gachoka, June, Kogi, Andrew among others. She was a dear friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 3.00pm at their Rongai home for burial arrangements.

The funeral service will be held at the Lang’ata Cemetery on Friday 4th June 2021 starting at 11:00 am followed by burial on the same grounds.
