JOSIAH MUCHANGI KAGIKA
We announce the death of Josiah Muchangi Kagika. Son of the Late Solomon Kagika Kamanu and the Late Miriam Wanjiku Kagika which occurred on the morning of 18th May 2021 in London UK where he was a resident. His Kenyan home is Ruai Nairobi and he hailed from Ritaya Mairo inya in Nyahururu. Before relocating to London UK, he was the official photographer of The Kenya Parliament for more than 10 years.
He was husband to Margaret Wambui Muchangi of UK. Father to Solomon Kagika, Miriam Wanjiku Guchu of France and Esther Wanjiru of France. Father in Law to Veronica Wahu Kagika and Francis Guchu Wairimu. He was grandfather to Josiah Muchangi Kagika, Lyla-Cate Wairimu Guchu, Myles Mwambia Guchu, and Stanley Mama Kagika. Brother to the late Michael Kamanu Kagika of Ng’arua, Kinamba, late Hannah Njeri Kagika of Mairo inya, Sifira Nyambura Kang’u of Liani, Makueni, Duncan Kidd Kamanu Kagika of London UK, Late Milkah Njoki Ngugi of Naivasha, Annah Njeri Gatimi of Nairobi, Late Lawrence Simon Kimani Kagika of Nyahururu, Monica Muthoni Kagika of London UK, Isaac Gachoka Kagika of Nyahururu, Newton Sammy Nguyo Kagika of Seattle USA and Phyllis Muthoni Muiruri of Ruai.
Son in-Law to Mr. Geoffrey Waitathu Njenga of Njoro Kenya and the late Esther Wanjiru Njenga. Brother in-law to Isabella Karungari Kamanu of Ngarua, the late William Kang’u of liani Makueni, the late Margaret Wacheke Kamanu of Nairobi, the late George Ngugi of Naivasha, Margaret Nyambura Nguyo of USA, Eunice Nyambura Kimani of Nyahururu, Hannah Njeri Gachoka of Nyahururu, Esther Njoki Kamanu of UK, Douglas Muiruri of Ruai, Simon Ndungu Njenga, John Kungu Njenga, David Gichane Njenga, James Mwaura Njenga, Nancy Muthoni Njenga, Ann Nyambura Kimunya, the late Kamau Njenga all of Kenya and Ann Wanjiku Kinyanjui of USA.
The late Josiah Muchangi was Baba Mdogo to Solomon Kagika Kamanu of Kinamba, the late John Mwangi Kamanu of Nakuru, Timothy Gachoka of Ruai, Miriam Wanjiku Chege of USA, Michelle Muthoni Macharia USA, Kevin Kiruthi Kamanu, Solomon Kagika Kimani of Naivasha, Miriam Wanjiku Kimani of Kikuyu, Becky Mumbua Kimani of Nakuru, Miriam Wanjiku Ngethe of Nyahururu, Mary Muthoni Njogu of Nyahururu, Solomon Kagika Gachoka of Malaa, Solomon Kagika Nguyo of Nyahururu, John Ndungu Nguyo of USA and Miriam Wanjiku Nguyo of USA among many others.
He was uncle to Eunice Wanjiku Njuguna, John Kinyanjui Kagika, Burton Kibui Kagika, John Kioko Kangu, Mathew Ndunda Kangu, Tito Muthikwa Mburu, the late Julia Nduta Ngugi, Alice Wangari Ngugi, Miriam Wanjiku Wairegi, the late Mildred Wanjiku Gatimi, Veronica Njambi Gatimi, Jane Wanjira Mwangi, Teresia Wanjiku Kamau, Solomon Kagika Muthoni, Don Kaggikah Muiruri, Miriam Wanjiku Muiruri, Kenneth Mungai Muiruri among many others.
The body will be transported from London UK on 12th June 2021 to Lee Funeral Home.
There will be a viewing and memorial on Monday 14th June 2021 from 10am to 12pm. We will have another viewing at the burial site on the 15th of June.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 6.00 am on 15th June for burial at his farm in Maili Saba, Nyahururu, Laikipia County.
