LENNOX ALLAN LUDENYO AMALEMBA

21st January 1943 — 8th June 2021

It is with sorrow that the family of Lennox Allan Ludenyo Amalemba announces his death that occurred on 8th June 2021 at his home in Lusui Village, Iguhu Location of lkolomani, Kakamega. He is formerly of East African Airways and Kenya Airways.

Lennox was husband to Jeddidah Khaluhi Amalemba (formerly of Kenya Railways) and the late Sophia Naumwo Ludenyo. Lennox was born to the late Joseph Swahili Amalemba and Mama Paulina Machinda Swahili on 21st January, 1913 and was the ninth child among ten siblings.

He was father of the late Beatrice Khabwachila Amalemba `Usite’ formerly of NYS, Winston Ambehi, Wilfred Lukakha, Perez Khaminwa, Michael Swahili Amalemba and Paula Machinda. He was also guardian to Judy Nasimiyu. He was predeceased by his brothers Seth Mahiva, Peter Mukalani Lumula, Protas Asamba and is survived by his elder brother Hezron Amalemba and sister Mary Kharevitsi. He is father in-law to Faith, Adilia, Mercy and Elizabeth and grandfather to Alan Shihemi, Rehema, Neema, Diana, Taraji, Donnie, Theo and Devin.

He was son in-law to the late Hezron Shinyeka of Iburimbuli Village, Shinyalu and brother in-law to the late Imbayi, Erica Muhande, Jocelyn Musira, Silas, Caleb, Rosemary amongst others. He was also in-law to the Maginas. Cousin, Uncle and friend of Ludenyo Swahili many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at his home in Lusui Village, Amalemba Iguhu Location, lkolomani Consdtuency.

The cortege will leave Mukumu Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 18th June 2021 at 1pm. Lennox Amalemba will be laid to rest on Saturday, 19th June 2021. The funeral service and burial ceremony will be at his home, Lusui Village along the Kisumu-Kakamega road and will commence at 8am. F
