MAMA LUDIA OPIYO PIRE

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of our beloved mother, Mama Ludia Opiyo a dedicated member and former deaconess of Kibaga Central SDA Church, Wagwe District Kenya-Lake Field.

Daughter to the late Mzee Bwana Midamba and the late Mama Nura Ochola. Niece to the late Mzee Philemon Midamba, the late Mzee Walter Midamba and the late Ker Kayo Opien.

She was wife to the late Mzee Joram Owino Pire Ngioma of Wagwe village, Karachuonyo, Homa-Bay County. She was co-wife to the late Mama Alta Nyabolo, Mama Risper Owino and Mama Jenipher Abuor. Her other co-wives include the late Mama Sarah Outa, the late Mama Hana Aron, Mama Maria Aron, the late Mama Helena Aron and the late Mama Rael Abala.

Sister-in-law to the late Mzee Ondiek the late Mzee Ernest Aron and the late Mzee Mayo Abala. Sister to the late Mzee Sala Bwana, the late Mzee Samwel Bwana, Mzee Andronico Bwana, Mama Miriam, Mama Philida, Mama Sibia, Mama Hanah, the late Mama Maritha and the late Mama Agnes Nyangweso.

Loving Mother to Hana Oyugi, Japuonj Agola Pire, Christine Onyach, Jane Owino, Hezron Pire, Nelly Arnayo, Dina Olwala, the late Ruth Owino, Shelia Abuya, Daniel Gor, Afia Owino and Hezekiah Otieno Pireh (UN). Others are the late Samson Otieno, Samuel Ogony, the Late Susana Owenga, Prisca Ochogo, Christabel Nyangia, the late Simeon Aron, the late Rhoda Yogo, John Bange, Margaret Kabasa, Esther Ochang’, Rispa Oriadha, Isaiah Ondiek, Olang’o Abala, Jeconia Othieng, Chief John Aron, Rose Akinyi, Patroba Opiyo, Erick Pire, Dr. Tom Owino and Hanah Owino, among others. She is a grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Co-mother-in-law to the late Mama Isabella Okuo of Kagan, the late Mama Margaret Hamisi of Kantira, the late Mama Rose Teso of Kojwach Apondo, the late Mama Esther Amayo of Kakdhimu, Mama Margaret Olawo of Yimbo, the late Mama Damaris Otieno of Kanjira Nyamila, the late Mama Phoebe Odok of Gem Asumbi, Mama Teresa Odero of Kanam Kideswa, Mama Cyprine Oguok of Kanyipir, the late Mama Mary Ogut of Kanyaluo Kamenya, the late Mama Catherine Ogot Nyawade of Ugenya Rang’ala and Professor Colleta Suda of Kanyidoto.

The burial will cake place on Monday 21st June 2021 at her home in Wagwe Karachuonyo; Homa-Bay County.
