WOI (RTD) LUCAS OKWEYA AWIMBO

It’s with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of WO1 (RTD) Lucas Okweya Awimbo, which occurred on 9th June 2021 after a short illness.

Son of the late Joanes Awimbo and Marita Obiya. Beloved husband to Monicah Okweya and Anne Okweya. Loving father to Chester Otieno, late Oscar Ochieng, Victor Odhiambo (Bilova Pharmacy), Christabel Musyoka (Permanent Mission of Kenya to UN, Newyork, USA), Sheila Awino (Divine Mercy Parish Hospital), Christine Joan Okweya (Business Lady, Eldoret) and Benard Ouma Okweya (KDF).

Brother to the late Sypriano Otieno and Paul Magero, Paulina Awour, Peter Odhiambo, the late Maricus Oduor, the late Raphael Oyengo and Jenipher Abonyo. Father-in-law to the late Lucy Oporo and Caroline Akinyi, Saumu Mulechia, Caroline Wamade and Lavender Miloyo (KDF). His sons-in-law are: Japuonj Michael Ogola, Dr. Eric Were (Eldoret) and Diplomat Joseph Masila (Permanent Mission of Kenya to UN, New York, USA).

Grandfather of Curtis, Riddick, Aldriege, Dylan and Courtney Miseda, Stancy, Puller, Annett, Blanca Amor, Hope, Mercy, Alvin, Dylan Ouma, Elvis Okweya, Brayden, Nicole, Joseph Junior, Rose Anne, Arnold Junior, Abigael, Giovanni and Okweya Junior.

Funeral service and burial will be on 26th June, 2021, at Ugenya in Ujwang’a village.

Dad we loved you so much but God loved you more, REST IN ETERNAL PEACE till we meet in God’s Kingdom.
