REV. FR. JOHN PETER NJOROGE, IMC

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that the Consolata Missionaries announce the passing on to glory of our beloved brother REV. FR. JOHN PETER NJOROGE, IMC on June 28, 2021 at Mp Shah Hospital after a long illness.

Until his death, Fr Njoroge was the Chaplain of Nazareth Hospital -Riara in the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi. Fr Njoroge hailed from Kiangunyi in Murang’a County, Kenya.

He was the son of the late Joruma Macharia and the late Esther Wanjiru. He was an exemplary missionary, an attentive listener, and a loving pastor who welcomed all with compassion and love.

Funeral program: Thursday 1St July 2021: 1.00pm Requiem Mass at Nazareth Hospital Chaplaincy – Riara. Thursday 1St July 2021: 8.00pm Vigil Mass in Thegu Catholic Parish in the Archdiocese of Nyeri. Friday 2nd July 2021: 5.00am Vigil Mass in Thegu Catholic Parish in the Archdiocese of Nyeri. Friday 2nd July 2021: 10.00am Funeral Mass and burial at Consolata Cemetery Mathari, Nyeri County.

Fr. John Peter (Wa Esther), you have served the Lord with a lot of enthusiasm and love in your missionary work. May the good Lord reward you with the gift of eternal life. Amen.
