SCHOLASTICA ATIENO ONYANGO

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Scholastica Atieno Onyango after a short illness on 27th June 2021.

Daughter of Mzee Fabian K. Achilla, the late Mama Dorothea Arua Khan and Jane Adhiambo Achilla. Loving wife of Fredrick R.S. Onyango of Lee Village, West Sakwa Kanyamgony, Awendo, Migori County.

Doting mother of Lillian Achieng Freeman (UK), Dr. Stephen Ayo of Kenyatta National Hospital, Beatrice Akeyo Onyango-Chege (Texas, USA) and Salome Ayugi. Sister of the late Jane Ocharo, Modesta Muya, Matilda Olingo, James Achilla,Wilsilaus Andego, John Nyandeje, Lydia Agatha, Gaudensia Awuor (Texas, USA), the late Fromtunata Agala, the late Sogolena Devota, the late Bentar Achieng Obonyo, Peter Ochieng, Basel Omuto, Stephine Otieno, the late Christine Akoth and Domnick Onyango.

Sister-in-law of the late Peter Otieno, the late Joseph Oloo, John Owuor, the late Paul Ang’wen, Domnic Ang’ila, Mary Mbogo, Annah Akinyi and Leah Mbogo. Grandmother of Bobbi (UK), Jenna, Jerome and Jovanni. Mother-in-law of Anne Ligondo Ayo, Lee Freeman (UK) and Allan Chege (Texas, USA). Aunt, cousin, mother figure and friend to many.

There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday 7th July 2021 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, South C at 10 am.

There will be a burial mass at the graveside in Lee Village on Friday 9th July 2021.
