It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Omong’ina Sarah Bosibori Onyiego.

Wife of the late David Onyiego Onywere (Nyambogo). Daughter of the late Aaron Nyasato and the late Leah Nyarangi of Mochenwa. Mother of Tom Miranyi Onyiego formerly of Kenindia Assurance Co Ltd, Joyce Nyakwama, Edward Mogaka Onyiego (USA), the late Samwel Onyiego, Winfridah Abutz, Ruth Nyang’au, Nyagaka Onyiego, George Onyiego, Esther Onyiego (Keroka), Onkoba Onyiego, and Peter Ontita Onyiego, (Nyambogo Hilltop Academy).

Sister of Kumenda, the late Peris, Nyakwara, Julia, the late Onsongo, Salome, Nyakerario, Moraa, and Mainye. Sister-in-law of Paul Ouko Onywere (USA), Elizabeth Ondati, the late John Okioga, Prof. R. Michieka, Isaac Kabesa, Ratemo Nyarangs, Stanley Ochako (USA), Tirimba Maturi, Musa Onywere, Nyakoe Onywere, Kenneth Kaunda, the late Esther Moraa, the late Mary Sitima, Samson Nyarangi, Edson Nyamunga and others.

Mother-in-law of Mark Nyakwarria, Hilda Miranyi, Naomi Mogaka, Hon Justus Ooga Rasugu, Daniel Ombaye and others. Korera of Jackson Mose Matimo, Wilfred Nyamache Ongaro, the late Jenesio Ochoki, the late Ombaye Menge, the late John Obaga, Ratemo Mageto, the late Jackson Sunda Mauti, the late Abenel Mose, the late Samuel Musyoki (Tala), Jeremiah Obongi Nyatuka. Aunt. grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves Nairobi West Morgue at 5:30am on Friday 16th July, 2021, for burial on the same day at her home in Nyamagesa Village, Mwamoriango, Masaba South, Kisii County, at 3:00pm.
