NELLIE LTHAE MWANZIA

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing on to Glory of Mrs. Nellie Ithae Mwanzia which occurred on the 9th July, 2021.

Loving wife of the late Ambassador, Dr. Philip Mwanzia of Matinyani Location, Kitui County. Cherished mother of Musumbi Mwanzia and Kithio Mwanzia. Daughter of the late Ishmael Muinde and Mary Kanyiva Muinde of Kalundu – Kyangwithya Location, Kitui County. Daughter-in-law of the late Joseph Mwanzia Maingi and Beth Kiimu Maingi.

Sister of the late Solomon Muinde, the late Albert Ndungo, Harry Mutheke, late Margaret Kivuvani, the late Nancy Kamene, the late Ricky Nzambu, Ayub Muinde, Odilla Mulinge, the late Donald Mutua, Elizabeth Mwende (formally of KTCC) and Sambulu Muinde. Sister-in-law of Rose Ndungo, William Kivuvani, Levina Mutheke, Shumi Nzambu, Nancy Mutua, the late Dr Stephen Mulinge, the late Francisca Ayub, the late Sgt. Fiangi, the late Mumbi, Holden Mavindu (Manager Amoured Security – Kitui), Joyce Mwanzia, Kamene Mwanzia and Kasiva. Cherished Auntie, Grandmother, Friend and Colleague to many.

Her career spanned from USAID, Kitui Council of Elders, First Lady to the Kenyan Embassy, stationed in New York, Brussels and Khartoum. At the time of her death, she was the Managing Director of Amoured Security Ltd.

There will be a memorial service at Emmanuel Baptist Church – Lavington on Friday 16th, at 2.00pm.

Meetings are going on daily at the family homes in Kitui (Chairman Holden Mavindu Tel: 0720178211 and Kileleshwa as well as at moonlight restaurants Kitui from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

A fundraising will be held at the Kitui home on Thursday from 5.00pm, fundraising is also done via Mpesa, pay-bill: (8041589), Account (Your Name).

Burial will take place on Saturday 17th, at her home Matinyani Location Kitui County, starting at 10.00am.

You were deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace
