BERNARD WOIE KAVIVYA

It is with deep sorrow to announce the sudden demise of Bernard Woie Kavivya, formerly of Kenya Airports Authority (KAA). He passed on at his home in Syokimau, Machakos County, on Sunday, 18 July 2021. He hailed from Kiliku village, Kwa Mulungu, Matinyani Location, Kitui County.

Son to the late Kavivya Mutweiya and the late Mrs Kitonzo Kavivya. Loving husband to Regina Kavivya formerly of the University of Nairobi, (SWA). Adoring father to Dean Kavivya, Brian Mutia and Patience Mutheu. He was brother to the late Makau Kavivya, late Mutia Kavivya, late Yeova Kavivya and the late Esther Kavivya. Stepbrother to Katiwa and Mary Kiveli among others.

He was son in-law to the late Mutunga Kitonga, and the late Mukai Mutunga. Also, In-law to Susan Kavuvi, Joseph, Elizabeth, Mutua, Kitonga, and Rose Makau. He was uncle to Kavivya Makau and Robert Kavivya, among many others.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Mbagathi Road, Nairobi, on Friday, 30 July 2021, at 7 a.m for burial at his Unyaa home, Kitui County. Burial ceremony and Mass will be held on the same day at Unyaa Catholic Church, Tungutu Location, starting from 11a.m.
