HELLEN NAMALWA MAKOKHA

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s with that we announce the sudden demise of Madam Hellen Namalwa Makokha of Bukembe on 21st July 2021 at MTRH after a short illness.

Beloved daughter of the late Mzee Kanuti Makokha(Omukimwei) and Sarah Nabwoba (Omulonja).

Beloved wife of Jestmore Wainga Makokha of Bukembe. ‘Loving mother of the late Daniel Suleiman, Millicent Makokha (Lecturer at MKU), Engineer Anthony Makokha (Ministry of Public Works), Benjamin Changalwa (teacher at St Longinus Kongoli) Dr Emanuel Simiyu (Kitale County Hospital), Philip Masinde (teacher at Nalondo Boys’) Teresa Makokha (Khwibancha girls), Pamela Nafula (UoN) and Caren Makokha (Conservation Secondary School).

Mother in law of Metrine Khaemba, Violet Malala (Associated Steel Limited —ASL) , Nancy Busuru (Nalondo CDM Sec. School), Dr Sarah Mandu (Kitale County Hospital) and Joy Juma (Sirende Sec. School), Felix Sialo (lecturer at Masai Mara University) Dominic  Nyarombe (Kwiho sec. school), Peter Sarun (Machakos County), and Kiprotich Malakwen (Kamobo sec. school).

Sister of the late Dismus, Tecla, David, Bonface,and the late Duncan.

Step sister of the late Lusabet, the late Mathias, and the late Thomas.

Sister-in-law of Rose Mary, Gesta, Lorna, Meghan and Renson.

A great friend, cousin, aunt, and grandmother of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home in Bukembe between 2-4pm daily.

There will be a requiem mass on Friday at St Barnabas Bukembe Parish.

Burial ceremony in Bukembe, Bunana village, Bungoma County.
