It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Gideon Kipkoech Rop (Kapcheptum) on 24/08/2021, of Chepkiep, Kebulonik Location Nandi County.

Son of the late Kipkenei Arap Cheptum and the late Taprongoei. Brother of the late Bot Kitur (Kapchesumer), the late Bot Musee (Kapcherus), the late Sawe Chemuor, the late Chepochok Arap Kenei and the late Kipkolum Arap Cheborgei Husband of the late Eunice Rop and Christine Rop.

Father of Abraham Koech (National Treasury Nairobi), David Koech (Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital), Wilson Lel (HM Kamungei Primary School), Joyce Chepchumba (Kabarnet KMTC), Peter Kipchirchir (Olessos Technical Training Institute) and Elisha Kiptanui. Grandfather and a great-grandfather to many.

The cortege leaves MTRH Mortuary – Eldoret, on 1st September, 2021, at 9.00am, for prayer and funeral service to be held at his home – Chepkiep, Kebulonik Location Nandi County.
