It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the promotion to Glory of Elizabeth Wanjiru Njonjo on 31st August, 2021, after a long illness bravely borne.

Loving wife to the late Bernard Njonjo Rubia. Adored daughter to the late Mwalimu Hiram Stanley Wathua and the late Mary Wanjiku Wathua. Daughter-in-law to the late Hon. Charles Wanyoike Rubia and the late Hannah Muthoni Rubia. Also daughter-in- law to Sinforian Kamau, Jane Mukuhi, Lucy & Walter Kahara.

Caring sister to Esther Wangari Wathua, Willie Wathua and Nancy Wambui Kahara. A foster sister to Esther Wangari and Willie Kimanga. Sister in-law to Michael, Maurice, the late Lucy Nduta, Kenneth, Robert, Lucy Wangui, Martin, Paul and Wangui (USA). A respected niece to the late Wambui, the late Hannah, the late Njuguna, the late Mumbi, Kimani, Kabue, Waiganjo, the late Moffat, the late Mercy, late Gachanja, Jane, Leah and Hon Joshua Toro, Maina, Ngumba.

A loving cousin, auntie and godmother to many.

Daily prayers are been held at her Karen Plains home, house #236 off Magenta close from 5.00pm.

There will be a thanksgiving service on Sunday 5th September, 2021, at the same venue from 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Thika, on 8th September, 2021, for a funeral service at the ACK St. Andrew’s Cathedral -Thika at, 10.00am. We shall lay her to rest later afternoon in Kahugu-ini Sub-location, Ngenda Location, Gatundu District, Kiambu County. All Covid 19 protocols shall be observed.
