With grieving heart and submissive acceptance of God’s will, we wish to announce the passing to glory of John Mwathi Mungai, that occurred on Wednesday, 1st September, 2021. He hails from Thakwa Village, Kahugu-ini Sub-location, Gatundu South in Kiambu County.

Son of the late Joseph Mungai and late Teresia Wambui. Husband of Agnes Muthoni Mwathi. Son-in-law of Joyce Wanjiru and the late Joseph Kimani of Murang’a. Father of Teresia Wambui (USA), Joseph Mungai, Moses Kimani, Cosmas Ndung’u, Francis Wainaina, Joyce Wanjiru, Stanley Mwangi, Mary Wanjiru and Elizabeth Wairimu.

Brother to Mary Wanjiru Waiganjo, late Peter Kimani, Peris Wanjiku, Cosmas Ndung’u and late Stanley Mwangi. Uncle and Grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Thakwa Village, Kahugu-ini for prayers and funeral arrangements starting at 4.00pm.

The cortege will leave Avenue Hospital — Thika on Friday, 10th September 2021 at 7.30 am followed by a funeral service and burial at his home Thakwa Village near Kahugu-ini Secondary School starting at 10.00 am.
