MAMA SERFINA OKOTH ORIKO

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Serfina Okoth Oriko, born in 1936 & rested on Tuesday, 17th August, 2021, at Gendia Hospital after a long illness.

Daughter of late Mzee John Ochoo and Climentina Ogola. Wife of late Mzee Anthony Oriko Awino. Mother of Alloyce Oriko, Waziri Nicholas K’oriko, the late George Oriko, Rosemary Odero, the late TJ K’oriko, Grace Ouma, Charles Oriko and Samson Oriko.

Sister to the late Kapis Abiero Ochoo, Paskalia Otieno Ong’uen, the late Joseph Rimba Ochoo, Cecilia Nyanja Apuoyo, Petronela Omari Mwaye, the late Susan Ondiek Ogindo, Magdaline Amolo Aloo, Leonida Atieno Mwaye, the late Syprose Muga Opinya, the late Consollata Anyango Oyugi, the late Rosalia Aoko Nyakiti, the late Ochuonyo Ochoo, the late Patricia Odero & Maurice Achola Ochoo.

Loving grandmother of Acklays (Phillipines), Edwin, Bushnell, Dr. Mandela, Mercy, Adora, Serine, Frankline, Christine, Adelaide, Ella, Kevin (USA), George, Christine, Tielen, Brenda, Sharon, Beryl, Hillary, Tony, Laura, Cynthia, Janevive, Annabel, Trevor and Tj. Great-grandmother of Laurice, Andrew, Elijah and Esther.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Koliech village, Kokoth Kataa Sub-location of Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County.

There will be a harambee at her home led by H.E Governor Cyprian Awiti as Chief Guest starting 2:00pm on Wednesday, 8th September, 2021.

The cortege leaves Gendia Funeral Home on Thursday, 9th September 2021, at 2.00pm, for burial on Friday 10th, at Koliech village, Kokoth Kataa Sub-location of Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County.
