ELIUD NJIIRI KARANJA

1942 – 2021

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Eliud Njiiri Karanja (Karwimbo) of Kinyona village, Murang’a County which occurred on 10th September 2021 following a short illness.

He was the beloved husband of the late Beth Wanjeri Njiiri, and a dedicated member of ACC&S Kinyona Church. Son of the late Pater Karanja(Karwimbo) wa Njiiri and the late Nancy Wambui Karanja. Son-in-law of the late John Njuguna (Ndurubu) and the late Hannah Njoki Njuguna. Devoted father to Paul Karanja & Doris Karanja, John Njuguna & Josephine Wambui, Samuel Njau & Kellen Wambui, Nancy Wambui, David Nduati & Elizabeth Njoki, Timothy Kiana & Hannah Njeri. He was adoring grandfather and great grandfather of many.

Brother of the late Elder Samuel Karanja & Elizabeth Karanja, Jamleck Kiana & Lydia Wambui Kiana, Raphael Kibuchi & Rose Wanjiku Kibuchi, the late Eliud Marite and Jacinta Wanja Marite, the late Ruth Wanjiru, the late Samuel Njiiri, Julius Kihiko & Lucy Wairimu, and the late Nathan Mwangi & Mary Wanjiku. Brother-in-law of the late Leah Wairimu & the late Peter Njiiri, Leah Wangui and the late Joseph Thiongo, the late Helina Wanjiru & the late Julius Maina, Hannah Nduta & the late Simon Maina, and Esther Muthoni & the late Julius Mwangi.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kinyona. There will be a meeting at St. Andrew’s Church Nairobi, on Tuesday 14th Sept 2021 starting at 5.00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral home Thika road, Kabati branch at 8.00 a.m. on Thursday, 16th September 202 I for a funeral service at his home, Kinyona Village Karandi, Kigumo Sub-County, Murang’a County in accordance with M.O.H Covid- 19 Guidelines/protocols. The service will be streamed live.
