Death has occurred of Esther Wamwirua Nyamu of Murubara village, Mwea, Kirinyaga County.

Daughter of the late Maninia and Wakagio. Sister to the late Gikunju, Muthike and Karuana of Kianjege, Ndia, Kirinyaga County. Wife of Peter Nyamu Rugio and Co-wife to Magdalena Muthoni. Mother of the late Muthike, the late Kirera, Poline Waniku, Jackson Githinji, Susan Wawira, Stephen Kariuki, Alicent Wanjira, Jemima Karuana and Douglas Muriithi.

Mother-in-law of Eng. David Mwaniki, Saverio Waititu, Methadius Muriuki. Tabitha Wairimu, Jecinta Wanjiru, Rose Wakuthii and Juliana Mukami. Aunt and friend of many. Grandmother of 31 children and Great-grandmother to 19 children.

The cortege leaves Mwea Mission Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 21/09/2021. Funeral service and burial at her home on the same day.
