MAMA GRACE MISUMI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we the family of Mama Grace Misumi announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday 15th September, 2021 following a gallant battle with cancer.

Beloved daughter of the late Ezekiel Odie Gombe of Imbo Kadimo and the late Elizabeth Akinyi Gornbe. Loving sister to Esther Evelyn Odhiambo (USA), the late James Wasonga, the late Rhoda Otieno, Samuel Odhiambo and the late Juliet Diego.

Loving wife to Gerson McAndrew Misumi of Wahanda Village, East Kadiania sub-location, South-East Nyakach location. Daughter in-law to the late Andrea Misumi Wasonga and the late Herinah Ndede Misumi. Adoring mother to Cynthia Misumi (USA), Nyadhal Mark Misumi, Wasonga Andrew Misumi (UK) and Ndede Chelel Misumi (USA). Mother in-law to Gladys Mutanu Misumi and theV undis, Seona Earle-Misumi and the Earles and Andrew Deyo and the Deyos.

Doting grandmother to Grace Josie, Neema Adoga, Gerry Nyange, Esme Okai, Hawa Nzambi and Eli William Nyadhai Misumi. Sister in-law to George Hezekiah Ondego, Joseph Andaneo, Meshak Owiti, Matthews Mbaga and the late Peter Adam Misumi.

Aunt to the late Danson, Jemima, Bernard, Andrew (UK), Millicent, Claris, Askah, Stella, Joshua. Timothy (USA), Millicent, Steve (USA), Irene, Lilian, Nancy, Clifford, Derick, Robert (UK), Fredrick Andrew, Anne, Joram, Paul, Emily, Herinah,, Benjamin (USA), Judith, Evelyn (USA), Andrew (USA), Elizabeth (USA), Vincent (USA), the late Patrick, Teddy, Bonita (Germany), the late Bob, the late Loise, Dorothy (Germany), Clement (UK), Francis, Henry, Zipporah, James, Arnold, Unette, Lilian, the late Brian, Don (Dubai), Jackie (Ireland) and Elizabeth Diego. She was also a great Aunt and mother figure to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family’s Nairobi home in Karen for prayers.

The requiem mass will be held at Consolata Shrine in Westlands on Friday 24 September, 2021 at 2pm.

She will be laid to rest on Tuesday 28 September, 2021 at her home in Wahanda Village, East Kadiang’a sub-location. South-East Nyakach location, Kisumu County.
