ROBERT MOGIRE

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr. Robert Mogire, formerly of Ministry of Lands, which occurred on 20th September, 2021, at Karen Hospital, Nairobi.

Son of the late Mzee Ezekiel Mogire Getanda and the late Mama Martha Kerubo of Nyanderema Village, Nyaguta, Nyaribari Chache, Kisii. A dear husband of Joyce Mogire of EORA. Most cherished father to Joan Gisiora (USA), Winnie Kerubo, Dr. Christine Moraa (USA), Alice Bosibori, Tom Mokaya and Jimmy Collins. Grandfather to Lisa, C.J Gisiora, Alinna and Jayson.

Brother to the late Tom Ratemo, Peter Aruya, Nelson Moindi, Jared Mogire, the late Josephine Nyarangi, Norah Bosire and Musa Nyandusi. Father-in-law to Ben Gisiora (USA) and Nyamari Obara (Aga Khan University). Uncle to Aruyas, Ntabos, Jareds, Bosires, Nyandusis, among others. Nephew to Matthew, Sarah, Daniel, Rebecca, Sospeter (all departed) Tabitha (USA), Zephaniah, Omwoyo, Samson and Makini, Gesare, Kembene, Orina, Onsembe, Hellena (all departed) Yucabeth and Caren.

Semo to Christopher, Lenny, Dr. lsoe, Reuben Omambia, among others. Son-in-law to the late Mzee Ishmael Mokaya and the late Mama Mary Nyanchama of Tombe. Korera to the late Joseph and Mama Tabitha Gisiora, Mzee Nelson Obara and Yunia Kerubo. Brother-in-law to Grace, Hellen, Martha, Jennifer,Tom, Isabella, Jane, Margaret, Catherine, Jackie, Milkah, the late Nyakundi, the late Omangi, Peris, Martha Momanyi, Jelia, Alice, Osoro, Drusillah, Elizabeth, among others, and a loved cousin to Getanda, Jairo and Magati grandchildren, among many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at the family residence at Lang’ata.

There will be a funeral service at Nairobi Central SDA Church on Wednesday 6th October, 2021 at 9.00am.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on Friday 8th October and he will be laid to rest on the same day at his home in Nyamataro, Kisii County.
