It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our Matriarch Mama Edwina Wambare Oduor, which occurred on Monday 4th October, 2021, at St. James Infirmary Busia.

Beloved wife of Mzee George Oduor Okwir (Obare). Loving mother of the late Ascar Akinyi, Amos Ochieng, David Otieno, Catherine Adhiambo, Joseph Oduor, Teddy Atieno, Denis Onyango, Erick Ornondi, Sarah Apondi and Albert Ochieng.

Daughter of the late Naboth Ndagla and the late Penis Awiti. Daughter-in-law of the late Okwir Othieno Okwir and the late Domtila Ooko. Sister to the late Moses Ombogo Barack Wala, Cosmic Ojow, Jedida Mugwa, the late Florence Mwalo, the late Agnes Anyango, Jane Odinga, Henry Otieno, the late Claris Oundo and late Millicent Achieng.

Grandmother to among others Hillary, Lorna, Yvone, Malik, Don, Mitchell, Sasha, Glens, Brenda, Samuel, Exsaviour, Ezra, Bravia, Abigail, Bevaline, Rophi, Winnie, Vivian, Consolata, Caroline, Mariana, Sharon, Morgan, Ryan.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in lukonyi Burumba Ward, next to Jubenas.

The cortege will leave Tanaka Nursing Home Mortuary on Friday 15th October, at 2.00pm, for burial ceremony at her home on Saturday 16th October, 2021.
