WALTER OCHIENG’ ONG’ENG’A

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Walter Ochieng’ Ong’eng’a which occurred on 25th October 2021 following a long illness bravely borne. Until his demise, he was an Employee of USAID Kenya and East Africa.

A loving husband to Lorraine Achieng’ Ochieng’. A dear father to Brandon Swahili, Aidanne Arkins Jakong’eng’a, Hollysha Crystal Archie and Rubble Tabbie (Bubble). Son of the late Musa Ong’eng’a Kitoto and the late Mama Tabitha Achieng’ Ong’eng’a and Mama Helida Ong’eng’a all of West Kanyada Kanyabala Magare School, Homa Bay County. Grandson to the late Kitoto Wakoyo, Nora Abonyo Kitoto and Magdalina Odee Kitoto.

Brother to Joyce Adhiambo Nyakiti, Ruth Aoko Orawo, George Odhiambo Ong’eng’a and the late Lillian Atieno Mbewa. Son-in-law to Mwalimu Broderick Ogange and the late Phoebe Ogange of Karungu Sori. Brother-in-law to Alfred Nyakiti, the late Edwin Okello, Daniel Kitili and others. Uncles include the late James Nyamwaya Kitoto, Benson Miganda Kitoto, Jeremiah Otieno Kitoto, late Joseph Kitoto, Wilfred Odede Kitoto, Patroba Kitoto, Charles Kitoto and John Kitoto and many other uncles, unties, cousins, nephews and nieces.

The Cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Nairobi in the morning for his house in Kisumu on Thursday 11/11/2021 for a brief stay before later proceeding to his home in Rodi Kopany, Homa Bay County on the same day. Burial ceremony and graveside Church Service is on Friday 12/11/2021 at his home.
