MZEE PETER OGOWO OGUYA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Peter Ogowo Oguya, on 30th November, 2021, after a long illness.

Son to the late Mzee Martin Oguya Ogweno, the late Mama Magarita Anyango and the late Mama Alice Achieng. Loving husband to Felesia Ogowo and Esther Ogowo. Doting father to John “Cods” Obenge, the late Rose Apiyo, Jacinta Adongo, the late Charles Otieno, Tom”Buju” Ogweno, the late Osborn “Ndugu” Anditi, Christabel Ogowo, the late Peterson “Apiti” Ogowo, Mary Ogowo, Jonathan “Joe” Ogowo, Nicholas “Nicky” Ogowo, Brenda Ogowo, Benard “Badi” Ogowo and Claris Ogowo.

Brother to the late John Obenge, the late Michael Ouma, the late Christopher Otiende, Dominic Ogweno, Tajo Mwasi, the late Maria Ganda, Mary Wanjare, Tom Mboya, Elizabeth Otieno, George Otieno and David Ochieng. Father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend and father figure to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Mzee Peter’s home in Nyamaji village, Lambwe Location, Homabay County for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The burial will be held on Friday, 10th December, 2021, at 10.00am, at the same location.
