DR. DAVID MAINA KAHANDO

1956 — 21st January 2022

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dr. David Maina Kahando of Technical University of Kenya who passed on 21st January, 2022.

Husband to Salome Waigumo Maina, lecturer at Thika Technical Institute and father to the late Rufas Kahando Maina, Tirus Muya Maina of Murang’a Univeristy, Charity Mweru Maina of Technical University of Kenya, Nancy Nyambura Wagi Maina (Lugha Ishara) and Chef Douglas Mari Maina. Son of the late Rufas Kahando Mari and the late Charity Mweru Kahando.

Brother to the late Flora Waithera Nyoro, Douglas Mari Kahando, Morris Waheire Kahando, Gladys Wamucii Murathimi, Mary Nyaithanji Kahando and Jackson Mwangi Kahando. Father-in-law to Pauline Nyambura Muya.

Son-in-law to the late Tirus Muya and Nancy Wagi. Brother in-law to Eliud Mwangi, Wamahiu Muya, Edward Kamau (deceased), Wanja Muya, Mathangani Muya and Rebecca Wairuri (deceased).

Grandfather to Genevieve Waigumo Muya, Elma Njeri Mweru, and David Maina Muya. Uncle, cousin and grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Matithi Village, Muranga County from 4.00 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will depart from Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home (Kabati-Kenol, Branch) at 8.00 am, for a funeral service and thereafter burial at his home in Matithi village (near Matithi Primary School), Murang’a County, on 27th January 2022 from 10.00 am.
