It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the promotion to glory of our Matriarch Elizabeth Nyai Josephat, who was called to rest on 22nd January 2022 peacefully in her sleep. She hails from Kithatu Village, Kanyakine Meru County.

Daughter of M’ltonga M’Mbwiria and Margaret Riara M’ltonga. Loving wife of the Late Josephat Nkaahu Mworia. Adorable Mother of the late Matia Murungi Nkaabu, the late Lucia Tirindi Fredrick, the Late Cecilia Ngeta Nkaabu, the late Melania Wanja Mathiu, Susanna Kaimuri Peter, Rose Karimi Nizaalou, the [ate Eunice Njiru Nitaalou, George Gitonga NItaabu and Elizabeth Karoki Mbijiwe. Mother-in-law of the [ate Fredrick Kiqua, Thomas Aquinas Mathiu, Peter Gitonga, Joyce Kanja Gitonga and Patrick Mioijiwe.

Eldest sister to the late Isaiah M’Nkanata, the late Jane Mbuthu M’Mugambi, the late Alison Wanja M’ltonga and the late David Kai. Daughter-in-law of the late Mworia Marotta and the late Kanja Marotta. Sister- in -law of the late Kajuju Mutwiri.

Grandmother of lgoki, Gaiti, the late Kinoti, Muthuri, Isaka, Mwiti, Karimi, Pauline Nkatha, Paul Mutuma, Fr. Peter Mutwiri, Patricia Gacheri, Dominic Kithinji, Agatha Kathambi, Fredrick Gikunda, Saustina Kagwiria, Gilbert Mwenda, Dorcas Kiende, Flora Gacheri, Charles Muthomi, Emilio Micheni, Faith Kawira, the late Miriam Kathamloi, Patrick Mwenda, Fidelis Munene, Scholastica Gatwiri, John Paul Muriuki, Edwin Kinyua, Caro Nkatha, Emmanuel Muguna, and Ruth Kendi, among others.

The cortege leaves Consolata Nitubu Mission Hospital at 10.00am on Friday 28th January, 2022,for a Requiem Mass at Divine Mercy Prayer House, Kithatu and thereafter a private interment will be held at her Kithatu Home, Kanyakine. All the Covid 19 Protocols shall be observed.
