It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Omong’ina Marikirina Kemunto Nyakundi that occurred on the 27th January 2022, at Christamarianne Hospital in Kisii.

She was a Loving wife of Zackary Nyakundi. Daughter of the late Mzee Kisto Matini and the late Maria Moraa of Girango, Gachuba village. Loving mother of the late Joseph Nyamweya, Anastancia John Nyakundi. Grandmother to Sorobea Martini, Nyabeta, Martin Nyakundi, Fredrick Mujumbe and Ben Marcus Onsinyo, Peter Nyang’au, Ismail Nyakundi, Geoffrey Nyakundi, Ruth Onsinyo, Ruth Kemunto, Singh Nyamweya, Celestine Kemunto, Sylvia Kemunto, Abel Nyamweya, Simon Nyamweya, Shanize Kerubo, Emmanuel Nyang’wara, Shanize Kemunto and others. Great-grandma to Sandra Kemunto, Shantel Kemuto, Michell Nyabeta, Shania Kerubo, Chris Nyakundi, Casper Momanyi, Yanick Nyakundi, Calister Bwari, Neliah Moraa, Uriel Nyakundi & others.

Mother-in- Marikirina Kemunto law to Norah Nyamweya, Peter Onsinyo, Margaret Matini, Cecilia Mujumbe, Happiness Kerubo. Sister to; the late Mosiara, Otwori, the late Penina, the late Nyachwaya, Okeyo, Nyakara, Veronica and Moraa. Sister-in-law to Nyachoti, the late Nyangau, the late Moturi, the late Jemima, the late Alice, Martha, the late Nyaruri and others.

Burial will be held on Friday, 4th February 2022, at her home in Gechona Village, Miriri Sub-location, Gachuba Ward, Nyamira County.
