PHYLLIS WANJIKU NGUGI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on Phyllis Wanjiku Ngugi.

Daughter of the later Mwenda Kamweru and the late Zipporah Wamucii. Wife of Peter Ngugi Njonjo. She was sister of Jane Kabura, the late Paul Karugu, Monicah Wairimu and Pauline Wangui. Step-sister of the late David Kamweru, Wambui Kagwima, Mary Wanjiru Mwangi, the late Ng’ang’a Mwenda, Muchiri Mwenda and Simon Wangengi.

Mother of the late Margaret Wairimu, the late George Kimani, Florence Wamucii Karanja (Sensei Institute of Technology), the late Mary Wanjiru, Esther Waithira Mwaura, Lucy Wambui Kamau, Geoffrey Mwenda, Monicah Wairimu and Regina Njambi Wahinya.

Co-wife to the late Grace Nyambura. Step-mother to the late John Githinji, Professor Gerald Kimani, the late Margaret, Wairimu, Joseph Njoroge, Samuel Njenga, Jane Wambui and Sister Ann Wanjiru (Sisters of Mercy).

Mother-in-law to the late Joram Muthiora (North Kinangop), Penina Nduta, Isaac Karanja (Sensei Institute of Technology), Dr. Stephen Mwaura (CECM Finance Nyandarua County), Sarah Mwenda, Jonah Gitu, Moses Wahinya Githinji (Gemona Enterprises, Kajiado) and the late Raphael Gikonyo.

Funeral service and later interment will be held at her home in Miharati Town, Nyandarua County on Friday, 4th of February, 2022.
