PETER NGUGI MUIRURI

It is with profound sorrow and humility that we announce the passing on of Peter Ngugi Muiruri, on 29thJanuary, 2022 after a long illness bravely borne.

He was the son of the late Samuel Muiruri Kamau and Mary Njeri Samuel of Kiamunyi Nakuru and Rachel Nyambura of Kiarutara, Murangia. He was husband to Shamim Gulam, father to Sabrina Njeri and Shenaz Wanjiru.

Brother to Jane Karuiru of Canada, James Kamau of Kiamunyi, Lucy Wanjiru, Nairobi, Nancy Waithera, London, Twin brother to Fredrick Kanyagia, Nairobi, Maureen (Toni) LePetit, London, James Kamau Snr, the late Josephine Wangari and Peter Thiong’o.

Uncle to Timo, Sammy, Cindy, Sigrid Debby Kamau Bashir, the late Natalie, Samantha, Dalton, Sonia, Leon, Sydney, Nicole, Rhett, Tiziana, Natasha, Marygorreti, Karimi, Marshall, Kelly, Rosemary, Sammy Thiong’o and the late Sammy Muiruri (Zumba).

Funeral arrangements are ongoing in Eastleigh Mirangi Tours, his residence Umoja Estate and at Kiamunyi in Nakuru.

The cortege will leave PNN Funeral Home Nakuru on 11th February, 2022 at 8.30am for funeral service at St. Francis Catholic church Kiamunyi at 11am and thereafter burial at their Kiamunyi Farm.
