It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and gratitude for- a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Monica Njeri Waititu.

Daughter of the late Wainaina Kamau and the late Mary Mukuhi Wainaina of Ndondori.

Sister to the late Peter Kamau, George Kagotho, Charles Muchuha, Nicholas Gachuiri, the late James Waweru, and Nahason Gikanga.

Wife to the late Waititu Ndogi and co-wife to the late Hannah Nyambura Waititu.

Mother of Lydia Wangoko (USA), Mary Mukuhi (USA), Virginia Mugure (USA), Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Nancy Nyaruiru (UK), Esther Njoki (Manager, Kibute Housing), and Josphat Wainaina (USA).

Stepmother to Margaret Wangoko, Teresia Wanjiru, Virginia Mugure (Former NYS Assistant Director), Teresia Wangechi, Jecinta Njoki, the late Salome Wambui, and Susan Nyokabi.

Mother-in-law to Sammy Mwangi, James Njuguna, Susan Wangari, Esther Wamuyu, the late Jackson Kungu, Augustine Njenga, and Esther Wanjiru. Beloved grandmother, great grandmother; aunt, and friend to many.

We will remember Monica Njeri Waititu for her generosity, kindness, and unconditional love.

Family and friends are meeting at 311 Runda Grove and at kwa mbari ya Giathi in Ngarariga, Limuru beginning February 22, 2022 at 4pm.

The burial will take place on March 1, 2022. The funeral cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 6am to be followed by a memorial service at kwa mbari ya Giathi, Ngarariga, Limuru beginning at 10am.

Monica Njeri Waititu will be laid to rest at the family home in Ngarariga, Limuru.
