It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Maina Mwangi (retired police officer) that occurred on 26th May, 2022.

He was loving Husband to Elizabeth Nyambura. Father to Jane Wanjiru and Joseph Mburu, Stephen Mwangi (Mombasa), Leah Wanjiku. Grandfather to Behati Mumbi.

He was beloved son to David Mwangi (Health) and the late Ruth Wanjiru (Kagati). Stepson to Mary Wangui. Son-in-love to Joseph Karani and Margaret Nyakinyua (Kianjau). Brother to the late Ephraim Kariuki, Grace Wanjugu, Charles Mweri (Mombasa), Jesse Kigotho (Kiarithaini H.S.), Joseph Kibuchi (Amref), Mary Kamau (Missions of Hope International), Venanzio Gathu (Mombasa), John Mathenge, Peter Githinji, Elizabeth Wanjugu, Paul Maina, Charles Ngari, Charity Mwangi, Esther Murage, the late John Mwogori, Susan Thairu, Agatha Mugo (Safaricom), Margaret Wamai, &  Marion Mwangi.

Brother-in-Law to Rev. Dr. Wallace Kamau (Missions of Hope International) among others. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are meeting at Coram Deo Gardens next to Starehe Girls and his home in Madoya (Mbiriri), Kabaru location, Kieni East Sub-county, Nyeri County for prayers and burial preparation.

The cortege will leave Jamii Hospital Mortuary Karatina on Saturday, 4th June, 2022 at 8am for the burial which will be held at his home in Madoya-Mbiriri, Kieni East Sub-county, Nyeri County.
