FELISTAS MARY DENG OJIAMBO

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Felistas Mary Deng Ojiambo a retired Senior Headmistress on 12th June 2022 at International Hospital – Kampala, Uganda.

Daughter to the late Mr. and Mrs Peter Mera and Veronica Ayintha Anyango of Mahero, Usonga – Alego (Siaya County). Wife to the late Major Frederick Gabriel Ojiambo Efumbi of Bukhasaba, Buhehe -Busia District.

Mother to Stephen Paul Oiambo (URA). Sylvia Nafula Ojiambo Mungole (Businesswoman), Peter Mera Opambo (IT), Julia Bulunia Ojiambo Aladwa (Coop Bank) and Agatha Antonina Ojiambo Odhiambo (Centenary Bank).

Sister to the late Kalori Mera, Theresa Mera Abuya, the late John Ochieng Mera, Mary Odera. Other siblings are; Clement, Mariana Ursula and Regina, among others.

Mother-in-law to Elizabeth Gwasaze Ojambo, Erastus Mungole, Rita Kabakonjo, Hon. George Aladwa Omwera and Billy Odhiambo.

Grandmother to Ian, Prince, Jeremy, Stephanie, Paula, Valentine, Sharon, Jesse, Pretty, Grace, Keagan, Jason, Mary, Joram, Ryan and Renee; and, several great-grandchildren.

Cousins to the Ondieges, Mukangas, Akekis ,Theodora, among others.

A requiem mass will be held at Our Lady of Africa Catholic Church – Mbuya Kampala, on Friday, 17th June, 2022 at 9.00am. Thereafter; another requiem mass will be held at St Paul’s Catholic Church – Busitema Busia, Uganda at 3.00pm on Friday, 17th June 2022. The Burial Ceremony will take place on Saturday, 18th June from 10.00am to 2.00pm at Nanguddi Village, Busitema Parish, Busitema Sub-county, Busia District (Uganda). The requiem mass at noon.
