FRANCIS EDWINE S. OLWALA

1957 – 2022

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. Francis Edwine S. Olwala, which happened on 26th September 2022, at Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital, Nairobi.

Son of the late Joseph and Margaret Olao of Muguna Village,Yimbo North Ward, Bondo, Siaya County. Husband to Dina Ayoo Olwala of State Department for Transport, Nairobi. Brother to the late Meshack, Richard,Teresiah and Atieno; and Joyce Oketch, and Benta Ngesa. Brother-in-law to Samwel Oketch and Paul Odiembo.

Father to Juliet Lavender (Sales Manager — EA, Glue Up Ltd), Dr. Macrine Adhiambo (JOOTRH), Tess Achieng (Research Consultant, UNICEF and Save the Children), Margaret Akinyi (Compliance Officer, KRA, Western Region), Quinter Atieno (CEO, Party Shop Kenya) and Joe Olwala (Marine School, Kisumu).

Grandfather to Melia Francis Owuor, Maxwell Myles Odero and Marlia Michelle Odero.

Father-in-law to Curtis O. Aluoch (Head Coach KCB Rugby) and Dr. Michael Omole Odero (Chiga Hospital). Francis was dearly loved and cherished by all his family and friends.

There are daily meetings at the Olwala’s Residence in Komarock phase IV at 5.30 pm.

Fundraising will be at All Saints Cathedral on 5th October 2022 (Wednesday), between 5.00 pm — 8.00 pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home at Mbagathi, Nairobi, on Saturday, 8th October 2022 at 5.00 pm for an overnight vigil at the Olwala’s Residence, Nairobi.

Thereafter, the burial will take place at the family home on 10th October, 2022, in Muguna Village.
