JOHN MAINA

It is with deep regret and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of John Maina on 29th October 2022 via a tragic road accident.

He is the loving son to the late Mzee Stephen Kanonia Kamau, and Keziah Waithera Kamau of Chorongi village, Murang’a County. A loving husband to Sophia Kabugo and a dedicated father to Remy Wachieni Maina. Brother to Daniel Mwangi, Peter Kanonia, Gladys Njeri, Esther Muthoni, Jane Wanjiku, Frank Machu and Joseph Macharia. He was a friend, uncle to many.

Family and friends of the late are meeting daily at the Holy Family Basilica, Blessed Irene Hall, 7th floor, Cardinal Otunga Anexxe, from 5.30pm – 7.30pm Monday – Thursday for planning and fundraising purposes.

Memorial service for John will be on Friday 4th November 2022 in KU Referral Funeral Home (cold room 1 chapel) from 1.30pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta Funeral 7.00am – 9.00am on Saturday the .5th November 2022 for burial and funeral service at his home in Chorongi village, Gakuyu Sub-location, Gaturi division, Muranga county where he will be laid to rest.
