LAWRENCE KINYANJUI GITAO

The family of Lawrence Kinyanjui Gitao would like to announce his passing on Saturday, 10th December 2022 after a life well lived and a battle with illness.

Mr. Gitao was a husband to Jane Wanjiku Gitao; father to Yvonne Njeri and Charles Muturi; Eric Gitao, Steve Warobi Gitao and Waithera Warobi; and grandfather to Ng’ang’a Muturi and Wangui Muturi.

Mr. Gitao was born in 1949 the first child of Mary Njeri Gitau and the late Elijah Gitau in Githunguri, Kiambu. He was a loving brother to the late Grace Wambui Gitao; Susan Wangui Kamau and Stephen Kamau; Annie Njeri Mungania and the late Isaac Mungania; Ruth Wanjiku Gitau; Joel Kungu Gitao and Jemimah Wanjiru Kungu.

Mr. Gitao was blessed with an abundance of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and colleagues.

A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, 15th December 2022 at Ridgeways Baptist Church at 2.00pm.

A PCEA – led service and burial will be held at the family homestead in Mathanja, Kiambu on Friday, 16th December 2022 from 11.00am.

Wa Elijah was a man of letters and a child of God. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
