It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Pius Nyakundi Omwenga (formerly of Kenya Airways) who went to be with the Lord on on 23rd March 2023 after a long illness bravely borne.

Son to the Late Benedicto Omwenga and Catherine Moraa. Husband to Philomena Gesare Nyakundi. Father to David (Qatar Airways), Hon. Kefa (Businessman), Denis, Connelius (Qatar Rail), Dorothy and Regina. Father-in-law to Fridah, Jackline, Alice, Jelidah and Enock.

Grandfather to Collins, Precious, Rita, Seth, Hadassah, Zack, Andrew, Gloriah, Gianna and Maryanne.

Brother to Pacifica, Teresa, Hellen, Agnes, Jane, Late Charles, Earnest, Mondesta, Late Cosmas, Martha and Peter.

Main fundraising to help defray the hospital bill will be held on 28th March 2023 at professional centre, Nairobi starting 5pm

The cottage will leave KNH private mortuary on 30th March 2023 at 7.00 am for an overnight vigil at his home in in Ikobe village, Bosamaro Ward, Nyamira County. The funeral service and burial ceremony will take place on Friday 31st March 2023 in Ikobe village from 10.00am.
